About Our Company

A Family Demolition Company Since 1967

Riverbank Environmental & Demolition started in 1967 as a homebuilder in the Central Valley. The company spent decades in flooring, and today it takes buildings apart instead: asbestos abatement, interior strip-outs, whole-structure demolition and fire cleanup across the Central Valley, the Bay Area and Sacramento. We hold CSLB #247684 and CAL OSHA #507.

Why Choose Riverbank

Why Property Owners and Contractors Call Us

Licensed for the Hard Part

Asbestos is where demolition jobs go sideways. We carry CSLB #247684 and CAL OSHA #507, so the abatement and the teardown run under one contractor instead of two schedules.

Since 1967

The company started as a homebuilder in 1967. Decades of flooring work came next, and demolition grew out of it. The same family still answers the phone.

Valley to the Bay

We cover the Central Valley, the Bay Area, Sacramento and Santa Cruz. Modesto, Stockton, San Jose, San Francisco and the cities between them are all regular runs.

Free Estimates That Hold

We price after looking at the building, the access and the survey. You get a real number before work starts, and the paperwork for every load when it ends.

What You Can Expect

How a Job With Riverbank Runs

From the first call to the last load hauled off, here is exactly how it goes.

1

Call or Send the Form

Tell us what needs to come down or come out, and where the property is. You talk to the people who run the work, not a call center.

2

Site Visit and Real Number

We walk the job, check access and materials, and flag anything that needs an asbestos survey first. The estimate is free and it holds.

3

Permits and Prep

Demolition permits, air district notifications, utility disconnects: we handle the paperwork phase and tell you what the schedule looks like.

4

Demo, Haul-Off, Clean Site

The crew does the work, debris gets hauled to the right facilities, and you get a site that is ready for whatever comes next.

What owners and contractors ask before a demolition or abatement job. If yours is not here, call. The person who answers runs the jobs.

What areas do you serve?
We are based in Riverbank, California, and cover the Central Valley, the Bay Area and Sacramento. That includes Modesto, Stockton, San Jose, San Francisco, Oakland, Fremont, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz.
What services do you offer?
Demolition and the environmental work that goes with it: asbestos removal and abatement, interior demolition, residential and commercial building demolition, concrete demolition, fire damage cleanup, land and site clearing, flooring removal and surface preparation, and UHP water blasting at 40,000 psi.
Are you licensed for asbestos work in California?
Yes. We hold California contractor license CSLB #247684 and CAL OSHA #507. Asbestos removal is regulated work in California, and we have handled it for decades. Ask for our license numbers any time. A contractor who hesitates on that question is telling you something.
How much does demolition cost?
It depends on the structure, its size, what it is made of, access for equipment, and whether asbestos or other hazardous materials turn up in the survey. A small interior strip-out and a two-story commercial building are different jobs. We look at the property first and give you a real number. Estimates are free.
Do you handle the permits and inspections?
Demolition in California runs through city or county permits, and asbestos work adds notification rules through the local air district. We deal with those requirements on our jobs every week and walk you through what your project needs before work starts.
How big a building can you take down?
Houses, garages, small commercial buildings and structures up to two or three stories are our core work. For heavy or high-reach demolition beyond that, we work with partner companies we have known for years, and we tell you up front which parts of the job they carry.
Do you do asbestos testing?
No, and that is by design. In California the survey and the removal stay separate, so the company telling you what needs abatement is not the one selling the abatement. We work from your inspection report and refer you to independent testing firms if you do not have one yet.
How long has the company been around?
Since 1967. The company started as a homebuilder, it moved into flooring, and today it does environmental and demolition work across Northern California. Same family, same phone habits: you call, you reach the person who runs the jobs.
